Azerbaijan's Supreme Court rejects Farhad Aliyev's appeal

He noted that the filed was claimed against the decision of the preliminary session of the Baku Court of Appeal about the non-conduction of the court investigation.

"The claim states the need to conduct the court investigation", said Ashurov.
he noted that the supreme court considered the claim groundless and upheld the decision of the Appellate Court.

It should be reminded that former minister Farhad Aliyev was sentenced to 10 years with property confiscation without the right to occupy leading positions within 5 years after serving the term. The same sentence was passed on his brother Rafik Alyev but for 9  years.

Thus the hearing on the appeal on F.Aliyev's appeal under chairmanship of judge Mirpasha Huseynov is scheduled for April 15. As the appeal was submitted to the Supreme Court, the process has been put off.
