Ali Hasanov: "Non-participation of a separate candidate or a party at the elections does not mean boycott of elections"

14 June 2008 [13:48] - TODAY.AZ
I do not think that the whole opposition intends to boycott the elections, said Ali Hasanov, chief of the sociopolitical department of Azerbaijan's presidential administration.
He considers that non-participation of a separate candidate or a party in the elections does not immediately mean botcott of elections, as only voters can boycott the elections.

"Sufficient number of candidates will join the election process and sufficient number of voters will vote", said he.

He considers that the proposal to boycott the elections is a private view, not corresponding to Azerbaijan's realities.
