Turkey's ambassador to Azerbaijan: "Azerbaijan is a gate to Middle Asia for the whole world"

"Azerbaijan is a window to Middle Asia for the whole world and Turkey for Azerbaijan is a door to the world", noted he, speaking at the conference "Integration of Azerbaijan into the Euroatlantic area and democratic elections".

The ambassador noted that despite hard economic situation and occupation of its territories, Azerbaijan has managed to attain significant achievements on the way to democratization. He voiced confidence that the upcoming presidential elections would be democratic.

As for the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Kilich noted that Turkey is for peaceful resolution of the conflict in the framework of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

In turn, Azerbaijan's envoy in NATO Kamil Khasiyev noted that Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation covers different spheres. Individual Partnership Actions Plan with NATO is intensifying each year.

"Azerbaijan takes part in over 250 NATO events. This is among the highest indicators in the world and among the South Caucasus states. Azerbaijan holds over 50 arrangements in the framework of cooperation with NATO", announced the ambassador.

He also stressed great achievements, attained by Azerbaijan since May of this year, that is since the start of IPAP implementation.
