"The rejection of the Azadlyg bloc to participate in presidential elections of Azerbaijan has no serious consequences", said chairman of Azerbaijan's Democratic Party Sardar Jalaloghlu.

He said the bloc has chosen a passive form of protest.
"The said boycott tactics is not effective as the bloc does not call on the people to reject participation in the elections and does not hold protests.
Moreover, we have no quorum, according to which the elections can be considered failed. Even if they are attended only by 1% of voters, they are considered valid.
It is usually considered in the world practice that at least 20% of voters support the authorities. Therefore, in this case, the said tactics will not be effective", said Jalaloghlu.
