"The Open Society Party always proposed an initiative of creating of a single coalition of opposition", said party deputy chairman Yaqub Abbasov.

He said there is a need for a new coalition of opposition in Azerbaijan.
"A new situation established after several parties rejected participation in the presidential elections. In this situation there appeared a need to coordinate the activity of opposition parties.
We may also continue our work in the coalition, which is being discussed by separate opposition parties. Yet, first of all. we will consider those who will join the coalition and the tasks the coalition will have. All necessary measures will be taken to unite opposition in the framework of existing potential", said Abbasov.
