Azerbaijanis residing in Georgia to join rally "Georgia is ours"

The Congress told APA that the Azerbaijanis were called to demonstrate solidarity with the Georgian people for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. The congress also appealed to the world community. The appeal says that Azerbaijanis living in Georgia are concerned over the situation in the country and protest against Russia’s invasion.

"Russia’s recognizing the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia poses a threat to Georgia’s territorial integrity. This is unacceptable for us. We call on the world community to defend the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, protect Georgians’ security and rights and hold talks basing on the principle of Georgia’s territorial integrity," the appeal says.
