Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister receives head of OSCE mission to observe presidential elections

Stressing his experience in observing elections in Armenia and Georgia, he spoke of the functions of the mission and the plans.

He noted that the main task is to assist to holding of elections in line with the principles of democracy.

In turn, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov noted that the country is in process of democratic construction and remains loyal to international commitments and democratic principles.

Mamedyarov said the country has all necessary conditions for holding free and transparent elections and Azerbaijan considers cooperation with OSCE in this sphere to be important.
