Elmar Mammadyarov receives copy of credentials of new Cuba’s ambassador to Azerbaijan

The ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations with Azerbaijan and highly appreciated the works, carried out in the country after the opening of Cuba’s Embassy.

The diplomat noted that his country was interested in improving economic cooperation and achieving concrete results and underlined the importance of importing oil products and foodstuff from Azerbaijan.

Elmar Mammadyarov stressed the importance of the initiatives on cooperating in humanitarian sphere, organizing culture days and informing both communities.

Talks between the ministries, issues to be discussed at the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission, contacts between diplomatic academies and exchange of diplomats were discussed during the meeting.

Ambassador Torres presented the copy of his credentials to the minister.
