Iranian authorities have unblocked Google's E-mail service Gmail, Mehr News Agency reported.
Reportedly, the Gmail services were available on Iran since Sunday morning. About 34 million of Internet users in Iran use Gmail.
The Youtube website, which is also owned by Google, is still banned in Iran, with relation to the controversial anti-Islamic film "Innocence of Muslims".
Judicial commission spokesman Mohammad Ali Isfanani noted a few days ago that access to Gmail was blocked due to the fact that both Youtube and Google function on the same servers, and Youtube has been blocked earlier for storing anti-Islamic film about Prophet Mohammed.
Despite numerous notifications, the film "Innocence of Muslims" is still available on Youtube.
The access to Google and Youtube has been blocked in Iran nearly a week ago, because of the controversial film.
Iran has one of the biggest Internet filters of any country in the world, preventing normal Iranians from accessing countless sites on the official grounds they are offensive or criminal.
Iranians commonly overcome the government filter by using virtual private network (VPN) software that makes the computer appear as if it is based in another country.
