"If you are frail, go straight to the coffin, keep your health," Vladimir Vysotsky advised in his famous song about morning gymnastics.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who officially went on vacation, retains his health in a different way. He hit a bike ride in Berlin. This city has seen different things in its centuries-old history, and now it sees this.
While Nikol Vovaevich is pedalling, in Germany, in the Armenian media, from the ranks of which Pashinyan became a politician, articles are increasingly appearing that the Prime Minister of Armenia is going to make idiots of all those who believed in the fairy tale about the "Western aspirations" of the leadership of a neighbouring country. For example, the Armenian newspaper Graparak reported that Pashinyan is going to move closer to Russia this fall.
"Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan recently stated in a narrow circle that "unexpected processes" are expected in the country's foreign policy in the autumn. It is noted that Pashinyan intends to return "to Mother Russia" as a "prodigal son" and go on rapprochement with her," the newspaper writes.
According to the source, the Armenian prime minister said that the EU "did not accept" Armenia, did not finance it properly, did not take steps in this direction and did not provide sufficient security guarantees.
In general, as has happened more than once with Pashinyan and his team, they are going to blame anyone for their own failures and mistakes, but not themselves. We all remember that the same Pashinyan, who shouted that "Karabakh is Armenia and the point", who gave the order to stage a provocation in the Tovuz direction in July 2020, thereby provoked a 44-day war, having suffered a crushing defeat in which he and his entourage began to blame Russia for the fiasco, and at the same time and other countries of the world.
As a matter of fact, the Armenian leadership has been playing "European integration" ever since. They were helped to create such an appearance by well-known Western PR specialists, thanks to whose work publications appeared in the media around the world that Armenia is a kind of "island of democracy" in the South Caucasus. Nonsense? The obvious one. And lies. But, as you know, even the propaganda minister of Nazi Germany by the name of Goebbels claimed that people believe in the oft-repeated lies.
It was on this principle that the lie about Nikola Vovevich's "European campaign" spread, which, apparently, was expressed in his bike ride through Berlin. And it's not just about the current publication.
Armenian media have previously written that Pashinyan seeks rapprochement with Russian President Vladimir Putin, does not use harsh rhetoric against Moscow, but tries to balance at the expense of Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alain Simonyan, who "takes a firm anti-Russian position and tends to the West."
Simonyan, by the way, also went on vacation. Whether he rides a bike somewhere, or prefers a different kind of passive or active recreation, is not yet known. But the fact that Nicol and Alain are playing the roles of "bad" and "good" police officers is clear as day. They have one goal - to retain power. And this goal, from their point of view, justifies the means. Here, "feints with ears" are welcome and encouraged.
Actually, their inevitability was obvious. After all, contrary to the loud statements of Pashinyan and his team against Russia, Armenia has not withdrawn from the CU and the EAEU, and Armenia's activities in the CSTO are only temporarily "frozen". So you can "unfreeze" it quickly, easily, and simply. Don't be surprised when this happens. Let me remind you that Armenia has been and remains a country whose most important strategic sectors remain under Russian control.
And the Russian military base in Gyumri has not gone away, as well as the Russian border guards guarding the state borders of Armenia. So, initially, this whole game of "European integration" of Armenia was fake. In reality, there was an acute desire of official Yerevan to "suck several queens." And so, the performance is over, according to the publications of the Armenian media.
It's up to you when all the secrets become clear. By the way, it is not for nothing that publications indicate that a new "feint with ears" on the part of Pashinyan is scheduled for autumn. Then the situation in the Russian-Ukrainian war will become clearer. By that time, Nikol Vovaevich will return from vacation, having pedalled a lot. And I will laugh a lot at all sorts of "experts" from different countries of the world who tried to "mould" an ordinary populist into something like a player on the world political stage. Pashinyan is not suitable for such a game. Too frail, from a political and intellectual point of view. And in order not to "lie down in a coffin", purely political, he makes regular tricky moves.
