Turkish actor Burak Özçivit is set to star in the Russian TV series I’m Coming to You for a Long Time.
According to the press service of the online streaming platform Ivi, which is producing the romantic series, Özçivit arrived in Moscow to film the show. I’m Coming to You for a Long Time is notable for being the first Russian TV series with a popular Turkish actor in the lead role.
In the series, Özçivit plays a character who unexpectedly visits Russia to meet Marina, portrayed by Russian actress Yulia Kalashnikova. The plot revolves around their journey as they navigate cultural differences, challenging weather, culinary mishaps, and even unresolved childhood traumas. This blend of romance and comedy promises to offer both heartwarming moments and light-hearted drama.
The show will consist of six episodes, and viewers will be able to watch the first episode on Ivi later this year.
Interestingly, Özçivit’s participation in a Russian TV project comes at a time when Turkish TV shows and actors have been gaining significant popularity abroad, particularly in Russia and other post-Soviet countries. This new collaboration marks a further step in the ongoing cultural exchange between Turkey and Russia, which has seen a growing demand for Turkish actors in Russian productions.
