South Korea on Friday confirmed its eighth case of highly pathogenic avian influenza for the season at a regional farm, Azernews reports, citing Yonhap.
Authorities reported that the latest case was detected at a duck farm in Gimje, 310 kilometers south of Seoul, where 18,000 ducks were being raised.
Officials are currently controlling access to the farm to carry out investigations while culling the affected ducks.
The government will also conduct thorough inspections on 41 farms in the area, they added.
