Turkish anti-terror unit to summon wife over Jordanian CIA bombing

Turkish Security Department officials said Bayrak, will be summoned to Anti-Terror Department in the coming days.
Wife of the suicide bomber who killed several CIA agents in Afghanistan, will be invited to the provincial Security Department in Istanbul to make a deposition.

Turkish Security Department officials said that Jordanian man Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi's wife of Turkish descent, Defne Bayrak, will be summoned to Anti-Terror Department in the coming days.

Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi came to Turkey in 1995 to study medicine at the Istanbul University. He got married with Defne Bayrak in 2001. The couple left for Jordan in 2002 where they had two daughters. His wife and children moved back to Turkey in October 2009. Al-Balawi, working as a doctor in Jordan, had not come to Turkey since 2002. Bayrak, is a journalist who has written books.

Al-Balawi, disguised as an Afghan soldier, killed CIA agents at a U.S. base in Khost, in southeastern Afghanistan, on December 30.
