Patriarch of All Russia, Kirill to visit Georgia

The date is still unknown, but the Church of Georgia is the 6th in the list of Churches to visit, he added.

In Ilarion's view, Russian and Georgian Orthodox Churches can make a very significant contribution in reconciliation.

"Now these are the Churches that is the main tie connecting Russian and Georgian peoples," he said.

"We cannot interfere in politics and dictate to political leaders, especially leaders of other states, how to behave. What they made will remain on their conscience," he underlined.

"But we can do everything to let ties between peoples of Russian and Georgia be kept and reinforced, to let the unity of faith, connecting us, preserve."
