Ukrainian PM admits her tape with her talk with Georgian president was real

27 January 2010 [17:38] - TODAY.AZ
Ukrainian PM and also current presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko admitted, though indirectly, authenticity of her talk with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili in which she requested him to send "battle worthy" people.

In her interview with Ukrainian Truth [Ukrainian newspaper], she mentioned the Georgian leader meant competent people, "not ninja combatants."

"And now the Party of Regions tries to make an immense scandal on bare place. This is balderdash! And the first round showed that the Georgian monitors worked as monitors. I'm grateful to them," Tymoshenko said.

"Do you really think that a President can call a Prime Minister to offer the PM some suspicious things over phone?" she said and called it a provocation.

"I don't want to talk about it," the PM said.

On January 20th, after the first tour of presidential elections, MPs and journalists were allowed to listen to the tape. It recorded voices of a man and a woman, reminding voices of the Ukrainian PM and Georgian President. Both were speaking in Russian.
