Iran to open satellite channel for Arab countries

Iran's state television will open a new satellite channel "I Filme" for Arab countries.

I Filme will broadcast to Arab countries soap operas, films, short documentaries, and commercials of Iranian production. The channel will operate 24 hour a day through satellites Arabsat and NaylSat. The official opening ceremony of the channel will be held by March 20.

About 300 million Arabic-speaking people live worldwide.
