Russia is ready to resume regular flights with Georgia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told TV Company Russia Today and radio station Golos Rossii.
He said that activation of Zemo Larsi checkpoint is possible in early March.
Lavrov also noted that he does not intend to have any contacts with President Mikheil Saakashvili.
"Our country does not evade contacts with Georgian side. It is known that charter flights were carried out in Christmas days. It was request from Georgian side and we considered that it would be right decision. We are also ready to open regular flights and relevant bodies of the two countries can review the issue," Lavrov stated.
Lavrov hopes Larsi checkpoint will start functioning from March 1.
