U.S. warship to enter Georgia's Batumi port

The U.S. John Hall navy ship will enter the Batumi port, reported the U.S. Embassy in Georgia today.
Under the 'Global maritime partnership' program, the sixth marine of the U.S. continues cooperation with the Black Sea countries to enhance the safety of maritime communication. Regular visits of the U.S. navy ships to the Black Sea indicate the U.S desire to assist in regional stability.

The crew of John Hall will hold joint training with the staff of the Coast Guard of Georgia.

The purpose of the training is to improve search and rescue work, search and boarding ships, as well as control damages in the vessel.

John Hall is a frigate of Oliver Hazard Perry class. The ship was named in honor of Admiral John Leslie Hall, Jr. He was one of the best athletes in the history of the U.S. Naval Academy. He was a prominent military leader during World War the Second.

John Hall navy ship was put on the water June 26, 1982. He soon gained a reputation as an invincible ship. John Hall is based in Mayport naval station.
