Iranian Parliament speaker Ali Larijani stressed that the contradictory positions adopted by the US against Iran's peaceful nuclear program has seriously impaired the face of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
"The US's double-standard policies on Iran's nuclear matter at the international arena have caused damage to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)," Larijani said, addressing a gathering of Iranian ambassadors to foreign countries here in Tehran on Tuesday.
He hailed Iran's nuclear achievements as impressive saying that despite "adventurous moves" made by the West against Iran, the country has taken huge steps in this regard and nuclear technical advances are considered as valuable accomplishments by all Iranians.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Larijani called on the Foreign Ministry to clarify stances taken by the Establishment and make efforts to realize the spirit of Islamic brotherhood and friendship among Islamic nations.
Larijani also touched on the issue of Palestine calling it the most important issue of the Muslim world.
"Palestine has always been the pivot of Iran's diplomatic moves," Larijani said, stressing that Iran continues to support Palestinians' resistance because it regards it as an Islamic obligation.
