Turkey's Deputy PM gave a signal that Heybeliada Seminary will be opened, saying the government found the demand "justified".
Turkish State Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc met with the spiritual leaders of religious minorities in Turkey and the heads of the congregation foundations over breakfast in Istanbul on Thursday.
Following the breakfast, Arinc told reporters that the meeting was very fruitful.
Arinc said that each of 71.5 million citizens was fundamental element, sovereign and first class citizen of Turkey.
Over Heybeliada Seminary, he said, "We see thier need to train religious officials justified as a part of religious rights".
"There is a decision of our government that the seminary should resume education," he said.
Noting that the top court brought some restrictions over the issue, he said, I hope we will realize this without passing much time.
Arinc said that Turkey wanted its cultures, beliefs and thoughts --which greatly contributed and guided world civilizations for thousand years-- to live together peacefully.
He added that contacts with relevant sides continue.
