Georgian opposition accuses PACE rapporteur of corruption

24 March 2010 [14:27] - TODAY.AZ
Georgian Laborites accused Matyas Eorsi, PACE rapporteur, of corruption and making two false conclusions on elections in Georgia.
"He's a tail of Saakashvili and his regime," said georgi Gugava, one of the party leaders.

In his view, Eorsi wrote false conclusions, and in fact didn't even walk out of the hotel in the day of the elections.

Zviad Dzidziguri, the Conservative party leader, mentioned PACE rapporteur was often caught supporting Saakashvili regime and being non-objective.

PACE Monitoring committee [Matyas Eorsi and Kastriot Islami] visited Georgia this week.

They met with representatives of NGOs, working on reform of the Constitution and Electoral Code; and negotiated with Temur Iakobashvili, the State Minister for Reintegration Issues.
