Pirates try to seize Iranian oil tanker near Somali

The pirates' attempt to attack on the Iranian oil tanker "Iran Faraz" was prevented near Somalia's coast by a ship of the Iranian Navy, fulfilling security functions for Iranian ships in the Gulf of Aden and Somalia.

The ship "Iran Faraz" was attacked by Somali pirates, heading from the port of Bushehr to the Turkish port of Izmir. At present, the ship is moving towards the coast of Turkey.
