Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who is on visit to Washington, will meet with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Richard Lugar today.
According to Saakashvili's Administration, the meeting will focus on the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia, the threats facing the country, the current reforms, pre-election situation and ensuring holding of democratic and fair elections and other relevant issues.
Saakashvili has already addressed the summit on nuclear security. According to him, his country actively participates in reducing global threats. He said it was managed to prevent possible incidents with the help of the international community, but dangerous places still remain in Georgia, in particular, the occupied regions, where international monitoring is not held.
