Turkish, Syrian presidents discuss ties with Azerbaijan

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has met his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul as part of his two-day visit to Turkey.

The Sabah newspaper reports Syrian President has also met Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The meeting focused on the Armenia-Turkey and Syria-Azerbaijan ties among other issues. Al-Assad has noted importance of normalizing Armenia-Turkey ties to restore stability in the Caucasus.
