Percentage of unemployed in Turkey go down to 11.4 in December 2010

The amount of unemployed people in Turkey went down 2.1% in December, 2010 when compared to the same month a year ago and was recorded as 11.4%, Anadolu News Agency reported.

In December 2009, the amount of unemployed people was recorded as 13.5%.

Unemployment in the non-agricultural sector was recorded as 14.2% and unemployment among the youth was recorded as 21.6% in December 2010.

The number of employed people in December 2010 went up to 22,665,000 from 21,451,000 a year ago.
