The Azeryolservis Joint-Stock Company of the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry plans to complete the construction of a stretch of road lying parallel to Heydar Aliyev Avenue and leading to the new Olympic Stadium in Baku before late 2014, the company's head, Javid Gurbanov told journalists.
He said that in particular it is planned to complete the construction of a stretch running from the Olympic to the Shafa stadiums.
The construction of the new road's remaining part stretching from the Shafa Stadium up to the Ganjlik Metro Station will be completed at a later date because of the large number of buildings and communications which will take time to move.
The new road will help relieve the traffic on Heydar Aliyev Avenue, as well as allow motor vehicles to move from the capital's centre to the new stadium without traffic jams.
