Gas provided to all mosques, churches in Azerbaijan is free of charge

“All mosques, churches and other places of worship belonging to other religions in Azerbaijan are supplied with natural gas by the State Oil Company (SOCAR) on a free of charge basis under instructions of President Ilham Aliyev,” the company`s president Rovnag Abdullayev said.

He noted that under a presidential decree of 2009, a total of AZN327 mln debt of the population for gas was written off.

Abdullayev also added that debts of refugees and internally displaced people were also cancelled by SOCAR in 2010.
