Ministry of Labor intends to lower unemployment rate in the country to 0,5-1 % by 2010

According to the information given to APA by the director of the Employment policy and demography department of MLSPP Vahab Mammadov, the working group is currently preparing the plan of action.

The plan will be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers and President’s Apparatus next year. Investment climate, education, employment of citizens needing social protection and other issues will be reflected in that document. V.Mammadov said that the employment strategy had passed the expert examination of UNO and International Labour Organization (ILO) and informed that this plan will be implemented in two stages till 2015, the first is till 2010.

It was mainly intended in the strategy to reduce the level of unemployment to 0,5-1 % till the target period. Mammadov considers that there is a need of forming state commissions parallel to the working groups at separate state structures for implementation of the employment strategy.
