Azerbaijani delegation prepares reply to the PACE spring session report

Head of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, Samad Seyidov told APA that one of Azerbaijani delegation member will address the session.

"Investigation of existing situation in the armies of the Post-Soviet countries is on the agenda of the Council of Europe. The main focus is on dedovshina (problem between old soldiers and new draftees, old ones attack on the new draftees and force them to work instead of them). This problem is the main problem in the Russian Army".

Mr. Seyidov said that Azerbaijan's ready to investigate not only this problem but also other problems on human rights. He said that some forces tried to show this fact as abnormal situation in the army.

"Human Rights are always on the agenda. Problems appear in all fields. The problem is in the Army today, it may appear in education tomorrow and so on. Facts we will submit to the Council of Europe are objective".
