Azerbaijan transfers $20,000 to UN Central Fund on Emergencies

As Trend reports, the Fund established in March will ensure the implementation of rescue measures during the humanitarian calamities, delivery of financial assistance.

1/3 of the Fund's resources will be directed at humanitarian crisis, which are out of attention of donors and international community. The Fund's donor-countries currently number 39. The list is topped by the UK, which remitted $70m to the Fund. Azerbaijan, Estonia, Croatia and Armenia also enter the list.
