Northern Regional Centre of Ombudsman holds educational events

A series of educational events on the topic "Ensuring Citizens' Voting Rights" were held by the Northern Regional Centre of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Quba and Gusar in connection with the extraordinary elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azernews reports.

At the events, attended by local youth and public representatives, the head of the Regional Centre, B. Afandiyev, provided information on the provisions of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the organisation of the voting process, the rights and duties of observers, the functions of election commission members, voters' rights, and other issues. He stated that a series of events were being conducted by the Ombudsman's Office to educate the population about voting rights.

At the end, questions from the participants were answered.
