Azerbaijani President addresses Jewish Community

President Ilham Aliyev addressed to the Jewish community of Azerbaijan on the Day of the Holocaust Memory.

The Head of state stressed in the message that the Jewish people suffered because of the genocide during the World War II.

"The genocide against the Jewish people was timely given political and legal assessment by the progressive humanity. Unfortunately, similar crimes are repeated even nowadays. The Armenian military aggression against Azerbaijan in the end of the 20th century, bloody terror and mass violence, and the unprecedented Khojaly tragedy happened before the very eyes of the international community, but have not yet fairly valued," the message reads.

The President expressed condolence to the Jewish people for their national mourning day and wished God let the innocent victims of the Holocaust rest in peace.
