Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh: "Religious tolerance of Azerbaijan is positive example for the whole world, including Europe"

Head of the CMO, Sheikh Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh addressing the audience. He said that though Azerbaijan's a secular state, approach to religious minorities was based on historical and cultural traditions most of all.

"Islam respects all other religions," Sheikh of all Caucasus said. The Sheikh also noted that religious tolerance existing in Azerbaijan was positive example for world, including Europe.

Sate councilor for national affaires Hidayet Orujov said that different religious organizations and communities're enjoying all opportunities in Azerbaijan.

However, he noted that these opportunities were abused sometimes underlining that some foreign intelligence services violate principles of tolerance by acting in contrary with Islam.
