Iranian admits illicit drugs production on the occupied territories

16 May 2006 [20:23] - TODAY.AZ
Armenians have completely destroyed the water pipeline from the Ziyaret Mountain in Azerbaijan's occupied region Khojavend, which supplied Tugh village people with drinkable water.

The Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry told APA quoting Shusha Regional Ecology and Natural Resources Office representative on Khojavend Elmar Valiyev. It is reported that the ancient Azikh cave is used as ammunition depot by Armenians. The oak trees have been cut in the forest in 25.5 hectares, and the natural forest in the bank of the Khojashin river have been cut completely.

The witnesses, who were previously captivated by Armenians, say that Armenians burnt the vineyards in the Garadaghli village in Boyuk Okhlu Mountain near Amiralilar village in nearly 35-40 hectares. Illicit drug plants are grown in the territories of Azerbaijan occupied by Armenians. This fact was unveiled by detention of a criminal gang involved in illicit drug traffic. One of the members of this gang is Iranian citizen Panahli Khudami.

Azerbaijan's Court on Grave Crimes revealed irrefutable facts on this issue. In his testimony to the court, Panahli Khudam acknowledged that Afghans and Armenians settled in Azerbaijan's Karabakh province, which is under Armenian occupation, are producing illicit drugs and smuggle not only to Azerbaijan but to other states.
