Azerbaijani citizen detained for smuggling in Georgia

Officers of the Investigation Department of Financial Police of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara detained Najaf Garandalov, citizen of Azerbaijan for smuggling on Thursday.

As Prime-News was told by representatives of the Financial Police, the suspect smuggled two kilos gold, ten kilos silver and $1 500 not registered in a customs clearance by bus from Turkey.

The detainee has already been interrogated andtaken into custody. Expertise will define exact cost of the goods.
