State Border Service (SBS) will not have soldiers by the end of 2015, State Border Service chairman Elchin Guliyev told journalists.

He said this process will be applied to border checkpoints and border coastguard. The urgent parts of "2006-2010 State Program for State Border Defense Technical Development" will be implemented by the end of 2007.

"Optical electronic devices are being applied in border checkpoints. The process started in Nakhchivan border division service area. We will be able to observe any part of the border from Baku," he said.

Guliyev also stated serious measures are being implemented to improve the SBS officers living condition. 348 officers will be provided with apartments in Khachmaz, Gusar, Sheki, Zagatala, Balaken, Gazakh and Shemkir this year, APA reports.
