Aslanbek Kentamirov: "I offered to kidnap Jahangir Hajiyev but Haji Mammadov did not agree"

In today's trial hearing, defendant Aslanbek Kentamirov answered the questions of sufferers and their representatives. He said Shirkan Albiyev offered kidnapping of Nazim Pashayev, head of Azermebel State Concern.

"After kidnapping Nazim, me and Isa protected him. Nazim told he would give us $20 000 if we released him. But I did not tell Haji about it," the defendant said.

He said he does know who ordered the murdering of AFFA President Fetullah Huseynov. "Haji said a month before that we should kill Fettulah."

While answering the question on the kidnapping of Zamira Hajiyeva, International Bank of Azerbaijan Managing Staff chief Jahangir Hajiyev's wife Zamira Hajiyeva, Kentamirov said he was against the kidnapping. "I protested against this crime and offered to kidnap Jahagir Hajiyev together with his driver instead. I had followed him before. But Haji said his wife should be kidnapped."

The trial will continue tomorrow, APA reports.
