Haji Mammadov to confront Farhad Aliyev on Elmar Huseynov's murder

"The offers on Haji Mammadov's transference from National Security Ministry's jail are purposeful. Suicide is not an exception in this case," Samad Aliyev, defense-lawyer for Haji Mammadov, former high ranking officer of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry Crime Investigation Department Haji Mammadov told.

He said Mammadov's security is highly ensured at the jail of the NSM.

"Mammadov does not face any pressures in the jail. Those aim to target Haji by offering his transference," the lawyer underlined.

Aliyev said Haji Mammadov will be brought face to face with former Economic Development Minister Farhad Aliyev related to the murder of the Monitor journal editor-in-chief Elmar Huseynov.

"Farhad Aliyev is being treated at the Justice Ministry Penitentiary Service Treatment Station. After the treatment, he will be confronted with Mammadov," he said.

The lawyer said Haji Mammadov will make important statements during the trial hearings, APA reports.
