Hezbollah leader makes first public appearance after 70 days

Hezbollah's leader Sheik Nasrallah made his first public appearance Friday since the war with Israel began July 12, taking the stage at a gigantic rally in the Lebanese capital Beirut's bombed-out suburbs.

Hundreds of thousands of people packed a lot where Sheik Hassan Nasrallah was expected to deliver a historic speech to mark Lebanon's symbolic victory over Israel, APA reports.

The crowd roared with cheers as Nasrallah appeared waving to the crowd, flanked by his bodyguards as an announcer said: "The leader has arrived."
