IAU students not allowed to stage protest outside Education Ministry

About 150 second-year students of the private Independent Azerbaijan University (IAU) attempted to stage protest action outside the Education Ministry on Monday.

Narimanov district police officers dispersed the unsanctioned protest. The sides came into conflict and additional police officers were involved, APA reports.

The university second-year student Haji Aleskerov told journalists that they will not stop protests until their rights for education are restored. The students will place protest outside the Ministry on the second half of the day.
