People's Artist Ogtay Agayev dies

Farewell ceremony with Ogtay Agayev will be held at 14:00 in Rashid Behbudov Musical Theatre.

It should be noted that, Agayev was born in 1935. He entered Asef Zeynalli Musical School in 1953.Then he was the soloist of Azerbaijan State Band headed by R. Hajiyev.

He had great concert in 1962 in Kremlin. He went on tour to Algeria, Morocco, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and other Post-Soviet countries. He sang the songs of the films as "Find that girl", "Fight in Mountains" and so on.

Agayev played the chief of police in the film "Japanese and Japanese".

He was awarded Humay prize, APA reports.
