Azerbaijan hosts Iranian film festival

Starting February 18, the event opened at 'Azerbaijan Cinema', the main movie-theatre of the country, with the Iranian film Children of Heaven.

Children of Heaven, directed by Majid Majidi and a 1998 nominee for the best foreign film at the 2008 Academy Awards was dubbed into Azeri for the benefit of the Azeri-speaking audience.

Rain by Majid Majidi, Sheida by Kamal Tabrizi and Tears of Cold by Azizollah Hamidnejad, are among the films to be screened at the week-long event in the Baku festival.
