Jamil Hasanly told Day.Az that he familiarized with Agil Halil's case, considered material of the Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General's office and watched items, demonstrated by TV channels.
"I understood in February, when the story of Agil Halil began, that a dirty campaign is carried out against this young man. Therefore, I decided to defend this him.
An association which will not be a part of the Committee for Protection of Freedom of Speech and will get a status of a public lawyer, is expected to be created, as unreal accusations have been brought against this young man. He is educated, works in such a newspaper and therefore needs protection", Hasanly said.
