Police officer wounded as a result of shooting in Nardaran settlement, Azerbaijan

Shooting took place in Nardaran settlement of Sabunchu District of Baku about 07.00 in the morning on Friday.
The 14th unit of Sabunchu District Police Office told APA that local resident Amirkhan Jabbarov showed armed resistance to police near the  village cemetery.

Police was going to take operational measures to arrest Jabbarov’s wanted son Zulfugar Jabbarov, 23. Jabbarov-father fired on the police from an automatic gun. There were no injuries, but Amirkhan Jabbarov escaped from the spot.

Police officers took operational measures to arrest Zulfugar Jabbarov, living in Absheron Street of Nardaran Settlement, on February 21, when Jabbarov showed armed resistance to police and Deputy Chief of 14th police unit Zaur Badalov was wounded. Jabbarov escaped from the spot. He was wanted under Article 120 of Criminal Code (deliberate murder) and Article 228 (illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation and carrying of fire-arms, accessories to it, supplies and explosives).
