New building to be erected for the US embassy to Azerbaijan

He said the search of a site, suitable for the construction, has continued for several years.

"Construction of an embassy in other countries is connected with issues of security. In Azerbaijan these plans are connected with the intention to centralize the activity of the embassy. Cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States is expanding and at the same time the number of embassy officials is rising. We want all our employees to work in a single building", said Henick.

He noted that the necessary area has not been found yet.

He said construction will take another 3-4 years.
