International center for training sappers and specialists for neutralizing unexploded ordnances (UXO) will be established in Azerbaijan, director general of Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) Nazim Ismayilov told APA.

Sappers and other specialists will be trained both for Azerbaijan and by order of other states.
"Discussions on establishing the training center are being held at present. Establishment of this center will help remove UXO and mine threat in the region and train skillful specialists," he said.
Manager of NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA) Bulent Tudesh told APA that NAMSA would support establishment of such a training center in Azerbaijan.
"We will offer assistance for training specialists and qualifying teachers. Specialists of NAMSA can hold trainings in the center," he said.
