Defenders of imprisoned editor-in-chief of Azadlyg newspaper unable to file a claim to European court

He noted that 40 days have already passed since the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan passed a decision about consideration of the cassational claim of Zahid, but they have not yet received the copies of the verdict to file a claim to the European court.

"The claim to be filed to the European court will state the need to pass a verdict of not guilty regarding Zahid, institution of a criminal proceeding against those who ordered this case", noted Ahmedov.

He said that after they get the verdict they will file a claim to the European court right away.
