Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism elected coordinator of permanent council of Turksoy

Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfaz Garayev has been elected the coordinator of the permanent council of the Turksoy organization (Organization for development of Turkic culture and art), according to the press service for the Ministry.

Reports say that the decision was adopted at the 25th session of the permanent council, held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan Bishkek.

The symbol and official banner of the organization were passed to the Azerbaijani delegation due to the election.

Moreover, during the session it was decided to present the third international award of Turksoy and a premium in the amount of $15,000 to deceased Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aytmatov. The award was presented to the widow  of the writer at the closing ceremony of the international forum "Chingiz Aytmatov and modern world".
