Umid Rahimoghlu, deputy chairman of the Council for press and head of the commission for complaints, said they had received a complaint against the Ideal newspaper.
The authors of the claim are deputy chairman of Azerittifag, chairman of the union of Azerbaijani-Turkish women Tanzila Rustamkhanly and Karabakh war veteran Sabira Mahmudova. The complaint states publication of materials, abusing them, by the newspaper.
According to Rahimoghlu, the Council of Press passed a decision that the publications about Rustamkhanly and Mahmudova, placed in the newspaper, violated a number of requirements "On professional code of conduct of Azerbaijani journalists".
These materials contain libel and insulting. The chairman of the commission noted that they receive numerous complaints against this newspaper.
"Earlier the Council for Press passed decisions on the Ideal newspaper but the newspaper administration ignored our remarks every time and continued its activity. Therefore, we decided to settle the issue in the framework of the law", said Rahimoghlu.
