Nushirevan Meherremli and Norwegian ambassador to Azerbaijan discuss activity of foreign TV and radio stations

As is reported, the meeting participants discussed the activity of foreign television and radio broadcasters in Azerbaijan.

Meherremli informed the ambassador about the legislation in the sphere of television and radio broadcasting and noted that broadcasting in Azerbaijan is carried out by the state, municipal, private and public broadcasters, which form a basis of the broadcasting system in Azerbaijan.

Along with it, chairman of the National Council informed the ambassador that the legislation of Azerbaijan and most European states says that only local television and radio broadcasters can broadcast on the national frequencies of the country.
